Concern for Nighbours and Community Empowerment (CONECE) a national non-government organisation operating in Uganda East Africa that was established in 2018, and formally registered with the NGO Board in 2019, dedicated to promoting transformation of societies through community empowerment. In its daily work, CONECE focuses on efforts of facilitating empowerment of marginalized persons particularly girls, women, older persons and people with disabilities to be able to deal with pressing socio-economic issues that affect their day-to day wellbeing.
CONECE supports, advocates and empowers People with disabilities (PWDs) focusing on women, young girls and children so that they can live to their full potential, live dignified lives and enabling them to have greater capacity for independent living and participation in the broader community.

Mission
Its Mission is to empower the less privileged and marginalized persons to realize their potential and have access to basic needs for improved quality of life.
- To address the physical, emotional, social and economic needs of less privileged and marginalized persons in the targeted communities and empower communities to have access to basic needs for improved quality of life.
- Create awareness to communities on the collective responsibility for our neighbors through sharing and mobilizing resources locally.
- To mobilize communities for their social economic development through participatory approach.
To promote good caring practices for people with disabilities among families and communities. - To strengthen livelihood capacities ofdisadvantaged /vulnerable persons for improved standard of living and sustained access to basic necessities of life.
- To promote sustainable utilization of natural resources, environment protection and mitigation of climate change.
- To create enabling environment for research and development conducted by students/organizations/institutions at local, national and international levels.
